Bat Yaar Farm – Restaurant, Attractions, Horses, Bicycles, and Lasers
High in the Birya Forest, amidst pine trees and the serenity of nature, lies Bat Yaar Farm, overlooking the magnificent panoramic view of the Galilee, Golan, and Hermon mountains. Located near the Amuka lookout, it is about a 10-minute drive from the Safed or Mahanaim junctions.
The farm was established in 1985 by two residents of Mitzpe Amuka, Eitan Lebel and Avraham Nahmias—two visionaries who sought to bring the spirit of the Wild West to the Birya forests.
The stunning beauty of the forest, the breathtaking views visible from every direction, and especially the unique local climate, inspired them to create a retreat in the Birya Forest. The dream was to establish a small horse ranch alongside a rustic restaurant.
It all began with two train cars brought from Haifa and four horses purchased from local villages. Residents of the area visited the farm from day one, accompanying us through every initial stage. Over time, travelers from central Israel also discovered the place, and slowly the business grew and developed until the farm’s name became known throughout the country.

Restaurant
The restaurant is located in a unique ranch setting at an altitude of 800 meters, where the valley view unfolds below like nowhere else. The weather is pleasant and comfortable year-round. The restaurant is housed in a unique structure built of wooden beams. During the winter season, a large wood-burning stove warms the atmosphere, while in the summer, the space is air-conditioned. Country music plays in the background.
The quality of the meat combined with the professionalism of the staff creates exquisite dishes whose flavors caress the palate and leave an unforgettable culinary experience. Here at the farm restaurant, we select fresh, high-quality veal for you, where every cut receives personal, special, and professional attention. The meat undergoes a unique natural aging process; our grillmaster cuts the ordered portion, weighs it, and finally places it on a searing charcoal grill.

Bicycle Single Track
A new bicycle trail joins the hundreds of kilometers opened by the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael (KKL-JNF) for cyclists. The trail passes through forest trees, olive groves, and pistachio and walnut orchards along almost its entire length, in the shade of the trees and the pleasant weather of the Birya Forest peaks. The trail is approximately 25 km long, including about 12 km of “single track” and the rest on forest dirt roads. The elevation gain is 340 m, from an altitude of 810 m to 470 m and back, and the ride is suitable for experienced riders.
