Over 35 years ago, the Hamiel family planted the first olive grove in Moshav Amirim. Over the years, the circle of olive trees expanded, and about a decade ago, the family planted an additional, large olive grove above the mountainous Jordan River.
We produce organic olive oil and olives from Nabali, Barnea, Souri, French Picholine, Manzanillo, and Kalamata varieties. The olives grow in one grove located at the foot of Mount Mitzpe Hayamim and in a second grove overlooking the beautiful landscape of the mountainous Jordan River. The olives are grown without toxic pesticides, without chemical fertilizers, and according to the guidelines and supervision of organic agriculture authorities in Israel and abroad.
The quality of the olives and olive oil (acidity: 0.2%-0.5%) is a result of meticulous attention to every single stage. From soil treatment, through nurturing the fruit trees, harvesting hours, transportation to the olive press, and immediate oil extraction at the press, which is also under the supervision of the Organic Association. The oil and olives are stored in air-conditioned rooms under oxidation-preventing conditions.
Our olives are home-cured without preservatives. They are packaged in jars or buckets covered with olive oil to preserve their quality and prevent oxidation.
