We strive to use reusable cloth bags for shopping, biodegradable plastic bags, biodegradable disposable dishes made from green materials, and more.
4. Amirim – A Vegetarian-Vegan Holiday Village in the Upper Galilee

The village houses, nestled within natural woodland, the well-tended ornamental gardens, the rustic and tranquil atmosphere, the breathtaking views, and the clean air free from industrial and livestock odors – all contribute to the special feeling.
In Amirim, there are several vegetarian-vegan restaurants and cafes (some kosher), meal services for cabins, local artists’ galleries, performances and cultural evenings, shops, jeep tours, body and mind treatments, and more.
The residents of the moshav uphold the principles of vegetarianism and veganism out of respect for the community and the spirit of the place, aiming to promote the values of vegetarianism and a healthy lifestyle, love for nature and the earth, respect for the human body and spirit, acceptance of individual uniqueness, and integration into village life.
Amirim seeks to be declared an ecological village – a green settlement, and the people of Amirim are working to receive this classification through waste and water recycling, prevention of spraying, promotion of renewable energy use, water conservation, and more.
